Hi ladies,

While I hate to do this, unfortunately with both Cherie and Michelle no longer demonstrators and now having interests in other areas, I have no other alternative but to officially close We Stamp.

It was fun while it lasted, but it is just far too much work for me to do on my own.

Thanks to everyone who joined us. Hope you will get to use these ideas for a long time to come!

WE Stamp.

Good morning.

Just a little update for you all regarding WE Stamp. We have decided that WE Stamp will be taking a break for the rest of the year, and we will be evaluating things again next year.

You will have until the 30th November to download or print all of the projects from the current round of WE Stamp before they will be removed from the blog.

A HUGE thank you to some very special people – Jacqui, Tamara & Tui, who have been our wonderful Design Team this round, supplying us with fabulous card ideas for each WE Stamp Wednesday. Thank you ladies – you’ve all been so great!

Another thank you must go to Sue! Sue, you’ve been our biggest supporter and participator in challenges and uploading your projects for us all to enjoy, and I know you have been busy promoting WE Stamp personally as well. It’s been such a pleasure having you as a part of WE Stamp!

A SUMMER WALK IN THE PARK!

What a great sketch to work with! I thought that it was perfect for doing a summery card with, so out came the Walk in the Park designer paper (part of the WE Stamp preferred package this round), and Soft Summer from the Spring mini.

My card is based on a design that I was really taken with, that I received as a swap at convention this year from Jeanetta Barker, a demonstrator from Ringwood, Victoria, Australia. WE Stamp Wednesday #4

Good morning.
Wednesday again, so here’s our new WE Stamp Wednesday challenge for you all. It’s a real quick one this week, for all of you who struggle to fit in more than half an hour to make a card! I KNOW what it’s like, so this week you need no longer than 30 minutes to throw together a card. Go ahead – do it while you are watching t.v – us women are great at multi-skilling. In fact, you can probably do it while you are doing the ironing.. ironing… what’s that again??!

OK, so a little confession – this is the SECOND card I made for this challenge. My “quick little card” for the challenge has now taken me nearly 2 hours… one of those nights when absolutely nothing goes right! CHALLENGE COMPLETE!

Okay, so I admit it, instead of doing my colour challenge early this afternoon like I should have been, I spent the afternoon chasing the boys on their scooters along the coastal walkway and enjoying the sunshine, and then watching old A-Team movies with my family. And guess what, I don't feel one bit guilty about it! We have to grab all the time we can with our families when we can!!

Anyway, I finally got around to doing the challenge tonight, and this is what I came up with. It's actually the 2nd card, the first one I really didn't like, so you don't get to see that one ...

I'm so excited about the projects that we have come up with for this first round of WE Stamp - I think they are fabulous! We thought we would tempt you with just a sneak peek of one of the projects that we have come up with for this round! If you are a member of course you will be receiving full step-by-step instructions with photos for this project later in the round, but if you aren't already a member, you will miss out, so what are you waiting for??

ONE MORE SLEEP!

We are so excited that finally, tomorrow WE Stamp will begin the first round of projects. I hardly slept last night, and I simply can't WAIT until tomorrow. Today, everyone who has registered will receive an email with a password for you to log onto the Members Area, which will be updated every day for the next 21 days with projects, ideas, challenges and lots of inspiration for you.

We are happy to say that we have some winners - first the winners of the Guylian Chocolate Boxes are number 2 and number 5 (chosen by random.org), so CONGRATULATIONS to Jamie & Lisa. If you could email us with your postal address, we'll get those chocolate boxes out to you this week!

Now after much deliberation, we have chosen our "WE Picks" from the entries for the chocolate box uploads. OK, so we couldn't actually CHOOSE, so we've decided to put up the photos of all the entries for our Chocolate Box - thanks ladies for making such a great effort, and taking part!

MY CHALLENGE CARD

Good morning stampers!

I went to put my card up on the blog last night and found that my batteries were completely dead. I tried scanning it, but the poor little butterflies got squished (not a good look), so finally this morning, here it is!

I must admit, I really had a hard time with the Orchid Opulence, I just don't ever use it, but I really like the way the colours worked together in the end. I might even have to start using these colours more often now I see that I like they way they work together ...

Now we want to see what you can do with this colour combo, so knock our socks off and let us see that natural talent!! Don't forget to add your creation to Mr Linky on the post below!

WE STAMP COLOUR CHALLENGE # 1

I love colour challenges - they make life so much easier when the decisions of which colours to use are taken out of your hands!!

I had Stamp Club last night and one of my fabulously talented customers, Debbie, bought along these amazing dolls that she had made at a local fabric store (owned by another club member!). Anyway I really loved the dolls, but was really amazed at the colours in some of the fabrics - bold and really out there, but they worked together.

So out of these lovely ladies I have a fun colour challenge for you today!! Certainly not my normal colours, so it will be a challenge for me as well, but what about these colours to get your creative brains working:

Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Orchid Opulence, and Basic Black (plus white if you wish)

I'm off to create my own card with this challenge, which I will upload later tonight (after I've put the kids to bed) and I hope you will join me in making your own creation with these colours as well! Once you've added your photo to your blog or Splitcoaststampers gallery, then come back and add to the link below so we can all see how clever you are!

A ONE LAYER CARD? ARE YOU KIDDING???

The hardest challenge for me is a simple one-layer card - I really want to add embellishments and ribbon! So I set myself a personal challenge to make a one-layer card with no embellishments (glitter isn't really an embellishment, is it??)

This is my card for the Clean & Simple Challenge. If you want another entry into the draw for the blog candy, then make sure you upload your card to your blog and link it here using Mr Linky below! If you need some help with Mr Linky, just email us - we're here to help.

Really, it's just one layer! I used the curly label punch to punch out the 3 shapes and used repositionable tape to hold them in place, then I added a faux tear down the middle by tearing a piece of scrap paper and also sticking that in place temporarily while I brayered over top of the lot with Kiwi Kiss! I simply removed the temporary pieces and stamped in my images, coloured a few touches of colour and a little glitter (you have to give me something!).

Super clean, super simple, and super cheap (just 21 cents per card - can't get better than that!!)

This is a C&S challenge (Clean & Simple), and is one of the easiest challenges you can possibly take part in – the only rule is “Keep It Simple & Clean”. That's right - we did say FREE stuff, so to start off, we are offering you all a wonderful project that we are providing for everyone FREE! This is a Guylian Chocolate Box, and we have a template for you to download and print directly onto cardstock - how easy is that??

What we would love for you to do is to create this project yourself, then take a photo and upload your photo onto either your blog or an online gallery, linking to our blog. Once you've done that, come back to westamp.blogspot.com and leave the link to your creation using Mister Linky below - super simple! Please post only to the individual blog entry, not just to your blog.

Everyone who posts a link here will be entered again into the draw for our fabulous give-away.
